It seeks to improve the theoretical understanding and empirical knowledge of civil society: its nature, patterns and composition, its history, development, and relationships with the economy, the political system and society at large; and issues of democracy such as: establishment, consolidation, and maintenance of democracy, including political institutions, parties and elections, civil society, ethnic conflict, economic reform, public opinion, the role of the media, and constitutionalism.

PAID-WA Journal of Geography and Regional Planning (PAID-WAJGRP) is a peer-reviewed journal which publishes conceptual and empirical articles in basic and applied research, case studies and critical reviews, surveys, opinions, commentaries and essays aimed at providing an interdisciplinary and applied perspective on regional development situation, potential, regional planning, and outcome of ongoing programs. Articles may address issues of urban planning, geography, spatial resource Management, land use, environmental and ecological regional economics and development issues and other regional related topics.

PAID-WA Journal of Human Resource Management (PAID-WAJHRM) is a peer-reviewed journal devoted to the publication of scholarly conceptual/theoretical articles pertaining to human resource management. It focuses on future trends in (but not limited to) human resource management, drawing on empirical research in the areas of strategic management, international business, organizational behaviour, personnel management, industrial relation, employee participation, human resource flow, reward systems and high commitment work systems.

The journal strives to provide a critical link between high quality academic research and the practical implications for business practice.

PAID-WAJCD is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes original articles, reviews and commentaries on the living conditions, vulnerabilities, potentials and opportunities of the population in rural area, especially the marginalized or excluded groups. Specific areas of concern include community mobilization, development communication, food security, land use, poverty, livelihoods, ethnicity, social justice, primary healthcare, basic education, housing, internet connectivity, and water supply and sanitation.

PAID-WA Journal of Social Works (PAID-WAJSW) is a peer-reviewed journal which examines the issues of poverty, abandonment, stigmatization of persons, groups, races, countries and regions, how different vulnerable groups adapt to their conditions, withdrawal, criminality, self-exclusion, and possible revolts.

PAID-WA Journal of Gender and Social Issues (PAID-WAJGSI) is a peer-reviewed journal which addresses key issues on gender studies in developing societies, including: the place of women in society; government policies to improve/empower women in developing societies; the role of donor countries, international organizations and non-governmental agencies in the improvement/empowerment of women in developing societies. The interdisciplinary perspective of the journal acknowledges the complexity of the study of gender issues and encourages a reflective analysis of the human experience.

PAID-WA Journal of Community and Public Health (PAID-WAJCPH) is a peer-reviewed journal that focuses on health issues in the African Region, specifically in the Sub-Saharan Africa. It targets original articles, surveys, essays, opinions and commentaries on public health related issues from both the 'traditional' disciplines of public health, including hygiene, epidemiology, health education, environmental health, occupational health, health policy, hospital management, health economics, law and ethics as well as from the area of new health care fields including social science, communication science, e-Health and m-Health philosophy, and health technology.

PAID-WA Journal of Development Finance (PAID-WAJDF) is a peer-reviewed Journal with original papers, perspectives, correspondences to the editors, book reviews and updates. It aims to publish applied and policy-oriented research in development finance and strives to establish a balance between theoretical and empirical studies. Manuscripts should focus on topical areas of international relations, conflict resolution, peace building, humanitarian assistance, trade, human rights, intercultural relations and diplomacy. It is also interested in articles which address conflict management in families, between and within states, inter group and interpersonal conflicts, international cooperation, social change and non-violence.
